Blue-chip firms miss female director targets

Only a third of Britain's blue-chip companies have followed recommendations by Lord Davies and set targets for the number of women they have on their boards.

Davies had recommended in February that UK companies should aim for a minimum of 25% female board membership by 2015, and set a target of August for them to explain how they would achieve this.
