Massa demands penalty for Hamilton

Updated

The skirmishes between Massa and Hamilton have been a recurring feature of the season. Monaco, Singapore and now Suzuka – the two drivers seem to have a magnetic attraction for each other, which regularly leaves fragments of carbon fibre scattered over the track.

This time, it was a case of Lewis Hamilton fending off a challenge from Felipe Massa in the chicane leading into the home straight – the result being a damaged front wing and one very angry Brazilian. "He was so slow in his 130R and was on the right-hand side of the track," said Massa. "I was a lot quicker, so I braked onto the left side. I stayed on my line, but he drifted across and made contact. What more can you say?"
