2011 is not Lewis Hamilton's season. Collisions and disappointments pave the champion's path – which is how it turned out at Suzuka. "My race was a disaster, it was another tough weekend for me," he admitted ruefully. "I'm not a bit happy, it was a disappointing race."
Apart from the latest collision with Felipe Massa, Hamilton was bothered by one other thing: Team-mate Jenson Button securing his third win of the season. Hamilton: "Jenson drove a remarkable race today. I'd hoped to find more pace at some point, but simply lacked grip. I couldn't keep up with anyone today."
He had intended accomplishing so much: "I wanted to achieve a double victory for the team, but lacked pace in the end." He thought that perhaps the reason for the difference between his performance and Button's was due to the wrong setup. "But, I certainly didn't drive as well as Jenson, because our car had the pace to win."
