Sacking managers cost English football clubs almost £100m last year, according to figures released by the League Manager's Association. The LMA also said that the average tenure of managers sacked last season was between one and two years. This week, Steve McClaren (left) became the latest boss axed, leaving Nottingham Forest after just 112 days, although he decided to walk after differences with the chairman and will not claim compensation.
