Sweaty palms, racing heart? I'm not talking about your first date. Many Brits get so stressed about their bills that they just don't open them.

The spiralling cost of utility, credit and store card bills has led to increasing consumer fears over how they will pay them every month, giving rise to a new state of 'bill phobia' among UK adults.
