An American businessman who showered British Airways staff with a foul-mouthed rant has been jailed for three months.

Timothy Bradley was sentenced at London's Isleworth Crown Court, where the judge called his behaviour 'foul'.

The court was told that Bradley, a mortgage consultant, had been drinking bourbons and beers with friends before boarding the flight from Phoenix to London.

He reportedly tried chatting up cabin crew member Charlotte Howell, before she was replaced by a colleague, Stuart Williams, because she 'felt uneasy'.

When Stuart refused to serve Mr Bradley more alcohol, he reportedly launched into his tirade, shouting: 'Who the f**k are you to judge me? You don't f**king know me, how old are you?'

According to the Mirror, judge Richard McGregor-Johnson said: 'You were thoroughly abusive, threatening, making foul remarks to a number of people and Mr (John) Mason (head of cabin crew) quite plainly thought that he was about to be attacked.'
