Red squirrels are a rare sight in Britain, so it's wonderful to see these siblings being cared for in this rescue centre in Morpeth.

Now only five-weeks-old, these four squirrel kittens were rescued after they were thrown from their nest when the aftermath of Hurricane Katia hit Britain.

According to the Forestry Commission there are an estimated 140,000 red squirrels left in Britain compared to 2.5 million greys.

Despite being native to the Britain, red squirrel sightings are an increasingly rare occurrence since the American grey was introduced.
