It's pretty tricky to negotiate when you have a mouth full of drills and dentists fingers. It doesn't help if you have been bamboozled by confusing pricing structures, or forced into the surgery by a local monopoly. So it's hardly surprising that your wallet can hurt as much as your teeth when you emerge from the dentists.

Now the Office of Fair Trading is investigating whether the outlandish costs and charging structures are legal.
