Three gorgeous red panda triplets have made their debut at Oklahoma City Zoo.

The cubs - a female and two males - were born on 25 June 2011 to mum Celeste and father Yoda, who have already had two other sets of triplets in the past.

Spokeswoman Candice Rennels said red pandas typically give birth to two cubs, so three sets of triplets is a lovely surprise.

Rennels told newsok.com: 'They are an endangered species. Any time we have a successful birth ... that's a success for everyone. It's a success for the zoo and a success for the species.'

The zoo added that the triplets are 'getting along really well and thriving, and we're really happy to have them'.
