Sacked NHS staff walk straight into new jobs in £830million redundo farce

When we were told that the NHS reform which would see the scrapping of Primary Care Trusts and Strategic Health Authorities would cost around £3billion, many people simply nodded in agreement without any real clue about what that figure represented.

But now, as the Government implements its big idea, which involves giving GPs the lead role in buying in treatment and services, it is revealed by the Labour Party that a huge chunk of that money will go towards paying redundancies to PCT and SHA staff that will walk into jobs under the new system.
