First drive: Personal transport from GM

Updated

So, here's the idea: you pack your kids into EN-V Jiao for the school run, then let it drive itself back home to pick you up for the daily commute.

On the way, you let the Human Machine Interface take the strain of 'driving' while you use the HMI display to check your emails and hold a video conference before you arrive at your office and command Jiao to park itself.

At the end of the day, because it's raining and you don't where Jiao is, you use your mobile phone to tell it to come and pick you up.

Futuristic nonsense or reality? Thrillingly, it is real and Autoblog recently met up with Jiao (or Pride in English) at Goodwood and were one of the first in the UK to sample its delights. We were enthralled.
