Toyota set electric record at Nurburgring

With the EcoVelocity show in London fast approaching, there's plenty of attention on the whole 'green' motoring topic at the moment and Toyota have added their two-penneth with a bit of motorsport record-breaking.

Taking on the Nurburgring can be a challenge at the best of times, so attempts at breaking speed and lap records are not to be sniffed at. In an effort to make electric motorsport as exciting as the fossil-fulled variants, the Japanese manufacturer took to the German track to show just what an electric car can do.
