Adventure-seeking TV presenter Bruce Parry has been robbed at knifepoint while making a new film in Colombia.

According to the Sun, the travel fanatic, who used to a Royal Marine, was left shaken but not injured by the mugging.

He wrote on Twitter: 'Just been knife-mugged in Colombian city. All's well, nothing lost but feel sad at the realities of societal inequality.'

The 42-year-old presenter of Tribe and Amazon was also determined not to let the ordeal put him continuing to make the documentary about his search for shamans and 'wise men'.

According to the Daily Mail, a few a few days ago he explained of the project: 'I'm in Colombia meeting with shamans and wise people to possibly take part in my newest project. A feature film.

'New film is for cinema - it's about humanity: where we've gone wrong and how to get back on track (just a little project).'
