Rise in catalytic converter theft worries Police

With 2,300 catalytic converters stolen in the south and east of England, a quadruple increase over 1,100 taken across Britain in the whole of last year, the Police are obviously concerned.

The devices which are used to convert toxic exhaust emissions into non-toxic substances are being targeted because of increasing prices in the scrap metal market.
