Overseas retirement hotspots: can you afford them?

There are some things to love about the UK: the beautiful countryside, the vibrant city life, the tea.... However, there is only so far all this will take you in retirement. There are only so many cups of tea we can drink while sitting in our dark homes too depressed to venture out in the cold and wet to enjoy the countryside or cities.

At some point we all dream of living somewhere warmer and easier, so where are the UK's retirement hotspots? And how can you afford to get there?
