Senna is the most popular documentary shown in the US
Not seen Senna yet? Well, you're missing out on one of the all-time great racing films in the history of cinema and going to have to wait for the UK DVD release.
News from the other side of the pond, is that despite opening in just two theatres (one in New York and the other in Los Angeles), Asif Kapadia's masterpiece took a massive $73,497 during the opening weekend.
That's an impressive $36,749 per theatre and makes it the most popular documentary of this year. These numbers seem worthy of possibly the greatest driver of his era and with the DVD release due shortly, I doubt viewing will slow down any time soon.
