Smartphone apps have gone from novelty items to vital everyday tools in an incredibly short amount of time. We're increasingly using them for everything, including unlocking and even starting our cars.

But computer security researchers in America have warned that tech-savvy thieves may be able to use the wireless signals created by the software to steal your pride and joy with just a laptop.
