A conman who leased holiday homes in Cornwall, only to cancel the deals and pocket the money, has been placed on a most wanted list.

Crimestoppers/PA

Kevin Leitch, 48, from Liverpool, is wanted by Devon and Cornwall police for allegedly taking up to £1000 from unsuspecting holidaymakers, and is being featured in a campaign by Crimestoppers to locate ten of the most wanted conmen in the UK.

Police have received a number of complaints about Leitch, who's also used the name Branson, and he is believed to have links to the tourist spots of St Austell and Newquay in Cornwall, Brixham in Devon, and Southampton.

The Crimestoppers campaign has been launched following news that fraud cost the UK an estimated £38 billion in 2010.
