Updated

Over seven million motorists admit that they've raced to beat the estimated-time-of-arrival indicated by their satellite navigation systems for the journeys they've programmed.

Nearly 3.6 million drivers admit to breaking the speed limit in an effort to beat the time over the past 12 months, while 322,000 have overtaken when prohibited from doing so to get ahead, and another 241,000 have tailgated in an attempt to complete their trips more quickly.
