Hipp-o Hipp-o hurray! New baby pygmy is zoo's star attraction

A month-old baby pygmy hippopotamus has become a huge hit with tourists at Japan's Ueno Zoo in Tokyo.

And if these pics are anything to go by, we can see why! The little pygmy enjoyed a cuddle with mum, before jumping in for bath time.

And after a good wash he snuggled back up to mum, nestling into her hind leg.

Pygmy hippos are normally found in Western Africa and weigh between 160 and 270kg. This little baby is likely to be about 6ft long when he's all grown up.

In comparison, a normal-sized hippo can weigh up to five tons and grow to five metre in length.
