McLaren tweaks MP4-12C before first cars reach buyers

McLaren's legendary reputation for perfectionism was in evidence again this week with the announcement that the firm has already tweaked the MP4-12C before the first cars even made it to their buyers.

Apparently the manufacturer was upset with early criticism of the car - particularly its high profile appearance on Top Gear - which placed it beneath the Ferrari 458 Italia in the supercar pecking order.
