Audi and BMW unveil 2012 DTM contenders

The 2012 DTM series is set to welcome BMW back to the grid after an absence of a couple of decades from the grid, and the German manufacturer has now revealed the concept version of the car that is set to herald its return to the sport.

A matt black M3 concept replete with plenty of carbon fibre is set to be powered around the track by a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre V8 engine that is good for around 480bhp and a 0-62mph time of around 3 seconds.
