Jaguar E-types lead Silverstone Classic highlights

The Jaguar E-Type has been voted the UK's most favourite sports car, a particularly timely accolade as the Silverstone Classic prepares to pay homage to the car in this, its 50th year.

Ok, so the number one spot came courtesy of an online poll run by the Classic organisers but 24 per cent of the 3,000 voters can't be wrong and who would begrudge the honour bestowed on a legendary car that still turns heads and attracts admiring glances half a century on from when it first appeared?
