Stunning hotel gets Guernsey's first ever five-star rating

Updated

Anyone who thought Guernsey wasn't a 'glamorous' holiday destination can now think again after one of its most famous hotels has been awarded the island's first-ever five-star rating.

The Old Government House Hotel and Spa, part of the Red Carnation Hotel Group, was awarded the honour by the Department of Commerce and Employment in Guernsey, following a recent assessment.

And, by the looks of these pictures, we can see why.

Located in the heart of St Peter Port, The Old Government House Hotel & Spa, is one of the best known and loved hotels on the island.

Overlooking the harbour, castle and sea, The OGH offers jaw-dropping views across to the neighbouring islands of Sark and Herm and even the French coastline (on a clear day).

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful private gardens, with a luxurious terrace and heated swimming pool and is perfextt for relaxing, sunbathing or enjoying a cocktail.

The hotel's sumptuous spa also offers you luxurious treatments and a fitness centre.

And the rooms? No two are the same, with 62 oh-so-stylish and individually-decorated spaces.

See you there...
