Public sector workers paid 8% more

Workers in the public sector were paid an average of 7.8% more than private sector staff according to figures from the Office for National Statistics. This makes the pay gap between the public and private sectors the highest in a decade. So is public sector pay too high? Or is private sector pay too low?
