Video: Drag racer loses his steering wheel mid race

As Richard Hammond would confirm, probably the last thing you want to fail on your drag car mid race is a tyre, but not a million miles behind that surely comes the steering wheel.

But Russ Parker found himself in just that position last weekend, when he was left holding a steering wheel that was not attached to anything but fresh air. As he was just heading in a straight line he was not in much danger, and he deals with the matter in a remarkably calm manner, but his scrabbling reaction is still amusing nonetheless.
