Video: Turkish cop carried 3km on drunkard's bonnet

We all occasionally go above and beyond the call of duty at work. Whether it's coming in early or working late, sometimes sacrifices just have to be made to get the job done.

Of course, for most of us that doesn't mean clinging onto the windscreen wipers of a fleeing drunk driver's car – but it seems that's all in a day's work if you're cleaning up the mean streets of Istanbul.

The officer in question was carried for 3km, and even had to endure a high speed collision before the tipsy motorist was brought to justice. Yup. Sometimes upholding the law is messy. But you get by. One day at a time.
