Coleen and Wayne Rooney hit the beach in Barbados

Coleen and Wayne Rooney have jetted off on a family holiday to their £5 million villa in Barbados.

The Rooneys have snapped up the chance to take a break while Wayne is free in between football seasons.

The pair were spotted enjoying family time on the beach at the exclusive Sandy Lane Resort, playing in the sea with their 18-month-old son Kai.

Coleen showed off the latest in her designer bikini collection, and looked stunning in her chevron-print two-piece, while Wayne kept covered up in a T-shirt, and his new hairline hidden under a red cap.

The family arrived in Barbados on Tuesday night, and Coleen tweeted her apprehension at taking Kai on the nine-hour flight from Manchester Airport, saying: 'On our way to the airport!! Can't wait to get there but gonna be a fun flight with a active little boy.'

After a follower recommended a portable DVD player, Coleen admitted she already had one and he was watching it.

Once she arrived, she updated her followers: 'Here in sunny Barbados safe and sound!!! Just in the kids pool making friends haha x.'

The Rooneys have holidayed in Barbados for years and built a £5 million house on the island's 500-acre Royal Westmoreland development last year.

The luxury six bedroom villa boasts an infinity pool and breathtaking sea views from the bedroom, and the living room areas.

It's a hard life being a celeb.
