Rail firm apologises for 'lack of attractive women' on service

Updated

A rail company has apologised to a passenger after he complained there were 'not enough attractive women' on his train.

Elliot Uttridge, 31, wrote a letter of complaint to Southeastern Trains after the service from Gravesend, Kent, to London was late.

He pulled the train company up about its poor service, then added as a joke: 'I would like to bring to your attention a lack of attractive women on the train."

Mr Uttridge was impressed with his reply, which asked him to bring along some of his attractive female friends, which may help boost revenue.

Southeastern said the reply showed the 'human side' of the company.
