Eurostar adds trains on Bank Holiday weekend

Updated

Eurostar is adding two extra trains for the bank holiday weekend to cater for an increase in travellers wanting to avoid flying during the Icelandic ash cloud disruption.

One extra train will be run on Friday and another on Saturday with all 750 seats being available to book in standard class. They will leave London St Pancras at 10.01am, arriving the Gard du Nord in Paris at 13.17. The return leg will depart Paris at 14.43 and arrive in London at 15.59.

Mary Walsh, director of communications for Eurostar, told TravelMole there had been increased demand for tickets following the ash cloud. 'We continue to monitor the situation and If the demand for tickets grows further we are in a position to lay on more additional services.'
