Kate and William return from honeymoon - and location finally revealed!

Updated

Prince William and Kate Middleton have returned from their honeymoon in the Seychelles, it has been confirmed.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed a luxurious 10-day break on the romantic island.

A spokesman for St James's Palace said: 'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have returned to the UK from their honeymoon in the Seychelles.

'The couple thoroughly enjoyed their time together, and they are grateful to the Seychelles Government for their assistance in making the honeymoon such a memorable and special ten days.'

And, in a statement, the Seychelles Government responded by saying they were honoured to have hosted the royal newlyweds.

The head of the Seychelles tourism board Alain St Ange said the couple were happy and content with their stay on the North Island - confirming for the first time the secret hideaway where the couple enjoyed their honeymoon.

The North Island was also the chosen honeymoon spot for Salma Hayek and her husband Francois Henri-Pinault, and is a four-mile long paradise, about 150 miles south west of the Seychelles' main island, Mahe.

On the last day of their trip, the pair invited the Seychelles' coastguard ashore to thank them personally for helping to keep their honeymoon private.

It is also reported that William told Islanders that his honeymoon was the best holiday he'd ever had.
