It's Friday 13th - which means flights are 20% cheaper!

Not the superstitious type? Excellent. That means you could bag a bargain flight 20% cheaper than usual today - just because it's Friday 13th.

Travel search site Kayak has discovered the average flight cost on Friday 13th is 20.4% cheaper than the average across the rest of the month.

Annie Wilson, UK managing director for Kayak, told travelmole.com: 'Everyone can be slightly superstitious; perhaps being cautious about walking under ladders or feeling nervous if an umbrella is opened inside - but Friday the thirteenth can bring out doubts in even the most rational.

'If however, the superstitions are overcome, British holidaymakers could find themselves a bargain!'
