MG Rover bosses struck off as company directors

The bosses who oversaw the demise of MG Rover continue to insist they did nothing wrong in spite of being banned from company directorships for up to six years.

The Government has announced that the so-called Phoenix Four - Peter Beale, John Towers, Nick Stephenson and John Edwards - have agreed to be disqualified as directors for between three and six years after a long investigation into their involvement in the Midlands-based company that went bust in 2005.
