Hottest Easter holiday EVER - but showers predicted for royal wedding

Experts have said the Easter heatwave has made the holiday one of the hottest on record - but enjoy it while it lasts, because temperatures are set to drop next week.

The outlook for the royal wedding next weekend isn't looking too good, with forecaster predicting showers for the ceremony of the century.

Millions of royal wedding-watchers expected to line the streets of London eager to get a peek of the happy couple have been warned to pack a brolly.

In the meantime, temps are likely to hit highs of 27C today, well above the average for this time of year, but a weather front moving in from the Atlantic is expected to see it get cooler, with some areas seeing temperatures fall to 13C by Tuesday.

Time to hit the beach - and enjoy it while it lasts!
