Bath time! Japanese set up communal tub in tsunami disaster zone

Updated

The Japanese yesterday proved that they won't let earthquakes, a tsunami, and an ongoing level-7 nuclear crisis get them down - by building a communal bath in the middle of the devastation.

The resilient group weren't going to let the small matter of losing their homes stop them from having a good wash, so they set up an outdoor communal tub amid the ruins of their home town, Minamisanmikru.

The reopening of Disneyland Tokyo yesterday also symbolised their tenacious spirit, and raised a few smiles along the way.
