Video: 230mph Corvette crash caught on camera

With a standing mile record of 224mph in their Corvette in the bag, you would have thought Hinson Motorsports might have been ready to wind down with a cup of tea and a biscuit, but they logically decided that 240mph is faster and what could go wrong with a 1,700bhp Corvette anyway?

The resulting 230mph crash was caught on video at the Texas Mile by various spectators and the team, who still aren't sure why the car flew up into the air. Luckily, though, the driver walked away from the massive smash and they say they'll back to try again soon.
