Garages most likely to give discounts to pensioners

Garages' poor reputation for ripping off motorists is unjustified, if a new survey is to be believed. In fact mechanics are quite the opposite - with many big-hearted technicians actually slashing prices for some customers they feel sorry for!

The survey, carried out by RepairACar.co.uk, found 10 per cent of mechanics lower their prices for old age pensioners, with eight per cent saying they'd always give older drivers a preferential rate.
