Subaru to give new sports car concept first appearance at Geneva
Subaru will use next week's Geneva motor show to debut the sports car it is developing in conjunction with Toyota.
Dubbed the "Boxer Sports Car Architecture", the Subaru will carry the manufacturer's trademark horizontally opposed style of engine, and has been engineered alongside the Toyota FT-86.
Subaru is saying very little about the car so far, other than to confirm that it is on a brand new platform – as you might expect of a car that is being developed from the ground up by two of Japan's major car makers – and is rear wheel drive.
Subaru will also be showing off see a new Impreza concept at Geneva, which is set to showcase the future of the design for the company's mid-sized hatchback. It seems it will be focussing on the mass-market version of the car, rather than the performance variant, as Subaru says it will display a "spacious and plush four-seater interior" and promise an "engaging yet safe and comfortable ride".
