EasyJet Holidays launches today

Updated

Admit it: as much as we'd love to say we fly first class with BA every time we head off on vacation, we've all been on a cheap and cheerful EasyJet flight.

But would you go on a cheap and cheerful EasJet Holiday?

The EasyJet Holidays programme will go on sale for the first time today
exclusively through Teletext Holidays and a dedicated EasyJet Holidays call centre.

The new joint venture with the Lowcost Holiday Group will offer customers up to 5 million holiday deals - pairing EasyJet flights with rooms offered by independent accommodation provider Lowcostbeds.com, with observers saying it has the potential to become a third big player in the UK travel industry, alongside Tui Travel and Thomas Cook.

EasyJet Holidays claimed it will provide holidaymakers with "the best range of flexible holidays at unbeatable prices to all EasyJet's flight destinations in 30 countries". A new EasyJet Holidays website will also launch in March.

Victoria Sanders, Teletext Holidays, managing director, said: "We're thrilled to be the exclusive pre-launch partner for EasyJet Holidays. It's an exciting move for the travel industry and we are working closely with the team to drive sales in the first few weeks."

Nick Hughes, head of ancillary revenue at EasyJet, added: "This will provide customers exclusive access to an extensive holiday offering. We know that customers will enjoy the great value that EasyJet Holidays offer as well as fully flexible, consumer protected holiday options."
