Looking for half-term day-trip ideas? We think we've found the perfect reason to hotfoot it to the capital!

London Zoo's three-month old baby gorilla - nicknamed Tiny - had hearts melting yesterday as he took his very first steps.

Helped by his loving mother, Mjukuu, he attempted to walk - but was a little wobbly on his feet.

We're sure he'll get the hang of it with a bit of practice, and, as silver back gorillas can weigh up to 25 stone - they may need to reconsider his name in the future.

Prices to get into London Zoo are £18 per adult, and £15 per child, but you can make great savings if you book online in advance.

See you there!
