Sometimes we try and see both sides of a story that highlights the stupidity of people, especially if they are just doing their job, but on this occasion we completely failed to see what the council workers in question were thinking.

Surely, at some point of the process of installing a disabled parking bay in Saffron Walden, Essex, someone must have thought that painting it around a very solid lamp post was a bit dim.
