Mexican slurs removed from US Top Gear
And still the Top Gear-Mexico saga rumbles on...
It would appear that the controversial scenes in which the BBC programme's presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May had a rather big dig at Mexico's expense will be cut when the show is aired in the US next week.
The trio came under fire after comments made on the show by Hammond, who joked that Mexican cars reflected the country's characteristics, saying they were "lazy, feckless and flatulent".
According to the BBC, there's nothing unusual about what's happened here with a spokesman commenting that 'Top Gear episodes are routinely edited for international transmission'.
Hmm, bit of a coincidence, don't you think?
