Take three: stylish Suffolk holiday homes

Updated

The UK staycation is showing no signs of waning, but if you want to enjoy the charms of Suffolk, you'd better get booking.

UK holiday letting company Best Escapes and sister agency Best of Suffolk are predicting an increase in tourists to the county of Suffolk this year, after they took a record number of bookings in January for their smart holiday properties.

Luckily, the agency is great at searching out the best rental properties in the area and last year its portfolio of Suffolk holiday homes grew by 50 per cent and it is continually adding new cottages in the pretty seaside towns of Aldeburgh, Southwold and the surrounding countryside.

New on its books is Spaldings Farm, a beautifully renovated thatched medieval farmhouse, in the heart of the Suffolk countryside near the village of Earl Soham.

Meanwhile, UK Travel Boutique has a chic self-catering option in the trendy seaside town of Southwold. A converted traditional fisherman's home, Angel Cottage is a pebble's throw from the sea. And Sea Salt is a cosy home-from-home on the coast in Aldeburgh, available through Suffolk Secrets.
