Mayor of London demands fuel stabiliser

Updated

The Major of London, Boris Johnson is perhaps a surprise supporter of a fuel stabiliser. Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Johnson has become the most senior Conservative to date to demand a cut in motoring taxes.

He increased pressure on Prime Minister David Cameron by saying, "If I were the government, I would think seriously about that fuel duty stabiliser, because when it costs more to fill your tank than to fly to Rome, something is seriously wrong".
