Footballer Jermaine Pennant forgets he owns a Porsche

Premiership footballer Jermaine Pennant left his Porsche at a train station in Spain because he forgot he owned it.

To make matters worse, the car had a personalised numberplate on it that read 'P33NNT' – somewhat narrowing down its potential list of owners. It was left sat at the station for a staggering five months before Pennant's old club Real Zaragoza contacted him.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Pennant said that he did not recall owning the car and the club was reportedly forced to open the car, where they found the keys inside.

Pennant has since left the Spanish side and moved to the Premiership club Stoke City, and has reportedly denied that he forgot he owned the car. Mind you, we probably wouldn't admit to something so embarrassing either.

The 28-year-old footballer was once considered one of the hottest prospects in the game, playing 24 times for England U21s. However, his career has stalled slightly since and he has not appeared for the full England team and failed to make an impact in Spain where he fell out with his coach Jose Aurelio Gay after turning up late for training on several occasions.
