Autoroute greats: Five cool French cars

There's something about big French cars that's rather cool. They're not usually huge sales hits in the UK, but a combination of quirky styling and laid back comfort make them attractive buys.

There are some things you'll have to put up with though: Some have residual values that lose money faster than Greece, reliability can be slightly disappointing - and worst of all, some people will laugh and point at you.

But not us; we'll salute you as you waft by with a whiff of diesel, floating along on a bed of air suspension. So, here are our five favourites.
