Formula One team boss Sir Frank Williams has been honoured with the Helen Rollason award at the annual BBC Sports Personality of the Year ceremony.

The co-founder of the Williams team, who has been confined to a wheelchair since breaking his neck in a road accident in 1986, continues to run the F1 outfit that has won 16 world championships, a feat only bettered by Ferrari and McLaren.
