On test: Vauxhall Astra 1.4T SRi ST

The Sports Tourer estate (ST) is the latest version of Vauxhall's Focus rivalling Astra. Designed, engineered and developed in the UK, the overall look is actually more stylish than the hatch.

Sadly, it doesn't have that much more space than the popular hatch, so is it a case of style over function? Or can the Astra ST offer a healthy dose of practicality and the same polished drive as the hatch? We spent a week with the 1.4 SRi Turbo to find out.
