Oldest unrestored Mini up for sale
Fancy a winter project? Well, the eighth Classic Mini ever produced is up for sale in its original, unrestored state.
Off the road since 1985, this Austin Seven was built on 15th May 1959 and dispatched to a Colchester dealer on 31st July. Originally finished in Farina Grey, (though it's hard to tell due to the dust and rust!) this De-Luxe model has had two owners from new and has been in its current ownership since 1986.
Described as being in 'very original unmolested condition but requiring a full restoration', the front subframe and engine have been removed but do come with the car.
Only two earlier Austins are so far known to exist and these are both in Japan, so this could be the earliest Austin in Europe. Chassis A/AS27-108 comes with its original registration number and a host of paperwork including the heritage certificate.
So what's the price of this slightly dilapidated piece of motoring history? A slightly scary £11,500!
