Each Christmas there are must-have toys that the kids are clamouring for but if you're struggling to keep up with the latest best-sellers, the toyshop can be a headache. Worry not, mums and dads - we take a look at this best-sellers.

The Kidizoom VideoCam(£59.99) from VTech looks set to be one of this year's biggest sellers. The company already makes digital cameras for children's but now you can trust the kids with their very own video camera.

Aimed at four- to eight-year-olds, the Kidizoom enables children to not only take photos but to record videos too. Once your youngsters have shot a movie they can turn director by adding movie-style openings, borders, stamps and moving animations, and then edit the video all within this nifty machine.

The VideoCam boasts 4x digital zoom, 2.0 mega pixel photos, comes with three built-in games, 256MB internal memory, a TV and PC connection and is available in pink and blue. Perfect for budding movie makers.

The Fireman Sam Deluxe Fire Station Playset(£29.99) is ideal for the little ones. The station opens up to reveal Sam and Officer Steele at fire fighters headquarters where they can use the fireman's pole, the extinguisher and ring the alarm bell... which will no doubt please many a parent).

Lego has long been a winner come Christmas and this year is no exception - the Lego City Airport(£84.99) is predicted as this year's must-have for Lego fans. Suitable for six to 12-year-olds, the airport features everything from the cafe and lounge to X-ray security.

It's an experience few parents would wish to relive but the kids will love it.

Remember Play Dough? Well, there's a new dough in town and this Christmas it's down at the farm. Moon Dough Barn(£19.99) allows children from three years and up to create dough horses, chickens, cows and sheep and then mould hay bales to keep them fed at night.

Mums and dads will be pleased to hear that Moon Dough never dries out and has the added advantage that it won't stain or stick to your furniture or carpet.

There will undoubtedly be plenty of children who have already been charmed by the land of Sylvania. This year's addition is the Sylvanian Families Motorcycle and Sidecar (£24.99), in which George and Mildred Mulberry Racoon don helmets and goggles to explore the countryside. Grab them while you can!

Toyshops have plenty on offer for animal lovers this year too.

At the Zhu Zhu Grooming Salon (£22.99), Zhu Zhu owners can now treat their pets to the full five-star treatment with mirrors, lights, brushes and a full range of grooming supplies.

If you're child is already desperate for their own puppy, however, you might be able to hold them off for another year or too with the Fur Real Friends GoGo Walking Pup (£59.99). With a remote control lead to take the loveable new addition on walks, the puppy will bark and wag his tail to show his appreciation.

The boys, however, may be more interested in the Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS (£54.99). For children aged eight and over, the Stampede ECS is a fully automatic blaster with an 18-dart clip (with extra clips, of course) for all-out assault.

And with Toy Story 3 has once again come up trumps with the Jetpack Buzz Lightyear (£39.99) - this year, Buzz features new and improved pop-out wings, a skyrocket jetpack, laser beam lighting and a host of new phrases, including of course "to infinity and beyond".

Music lovers will be dying to get their hands on a Paper Jamz Guitar (£24.99) this Crimbo. Complete with four modes (including freestyle) your child will feel like a rock star in no time and, while they go air guitar crazy, you can rest easy in the knowledge that it has a headphones socket.

Meanwhile Monopoly Revolution (£29.99) is the all singing all dancing of the classic family board game. Celebrating the 75th anniversary of its launch Monopoly Revolution is played on a circular board and features built in songs and sound effects.

Of course, the electronic banking system will mean that cheating is out of the question folks!

Finally if you're looking to wear the children out, Pumpaloons (£19.99) is the answer. In a race to blow up either Stripeyloon or Spottyloon (each three foot high), players must push, stomp or sit on the air pump - which means they'll be getting some healthy exercise and heading for a good night's sleep!
